Leaders, not politician is what Nigeria needs;a case study of the 2015 presidential elections

The notion that President Goodluck Johnathan has failed is one without any form of contrary defense.

The hallmark of his poor administration, aside his agendas that edge towards dissolution of the Nigeria contraption, or propagandas that in the truest sense doesn’t placate the conditions of the Nigerian man,has been the security crisis across the country, the issue of ‘boko haram’.
The failure of Nigeria come 2015, won’t be whether he (Goodluck) wins or loses, it transcends political ambitions, to the absolute death of visionary leaders in the country, what we are blessed with is the varying foray of individuals who are at their best;great politicians, not thinker, not liberators, not scholars, and as politicians, their end game would always be the ‘loot’ scheme, to help maintain their political aspirations to the apex, or keep a foothold in the political scramble, after they have attained it.

Nigerians are fighting for the continued unity of the country,so many really believes a secession of the Nigeria entity would be the solution to the unending woes of injustice, corruption, political malaise, over dependence on oil wealth e.t.c….Despite the predictions of 2005 by the United States National Intelligence Council, and the present signs of looming disintegration by 2015,the mad scramble for power has taken precedence, and we have continued on the projected path. Many can argue it was all a matter of time before an eventual secession, a fear that has being brewing since the sarduana of sokoto, Ahmadu Bellow, first brought the possibility of a divided Nigeria if southerners became too dominant, the threats of secession continued even to the failed assaults of Odemegwu Ojukwu and his biafra creation, Nigeria has never being a united entity, it really was an immiscible creation, when we hardly considered ourselves kins, we only chose to be called Nigerians when in disapora or when a situation demands, for a lack of a better word. We always resort to geo-political zoning classifications or ethnic tags. What makes us strong, what even holds this crumbling economy, is the specialization of each part, agriculture in the north, oil to the south south, commerce to the south east, and the medium for exportation and importation in the south west. The south south anticipates division,so they can bask in their oil wealth, even the north concedes a degree of dependence of oil as being important to the mainstay of their economy,by placing their hopes on oil found in the chad basin, it may seem everyone is bracing up for an eventual division.

What is even more worst,is the war threats being made in regards to the 2015 elections, from Buhari’s threat of Nigeria being ungovernable after 2015, to Asari’s Dokubo stand on either its johnathan or war. Is johnathan really the solution to it all, does the fate of the country depends on his ambitions for power, I don’t foresee him stepping aside, his pride will not have it,and PDP would never want to lose their best candidate,in a war that is soon to begin with the newly formed APC, for the holy grail of Nigerian politics, these men’s and entity constitutes our leaders, people we are suppose to look up to in these trying times, even they are unsure of the demons that lies ahead, being politicians they are, they have settled their aims on one goal and one goal only come 2015, and by God let all consequences be damned.
